Super Moon
Did you get to see the Super Moon this week? It was bright and beautiful. The lunar eclipse was amazing, too. I find great comfort and give God all praise when predicted celestial events happen. God is in control of the moon and stars, and us, and things happen in the patterns and plans He set long before we came to be. I said, “Hello, Super Moon” this morning when it was still up on my way to work. It’s not a super moon today though. It was only super on Wednesday. Because the full moon’s orbit was closer to the earth Wednesday, we perceived it as larger and brighter and quite super, but it’s the same moon every day, right? I sometimes perceive the Lord as super close, bright and beautiful. Then sometimes I take for granted that He is always close, and I don’t notice how “super” and faithful He is. I love it when He grabs my attention: a friend’s scan shows she is cancer free, I get good results from a routine test, my family gets all together and we are healthy and happy and feeling blessed. The moon is always super, even when we don’t perceive it that way, and the Lord is always faithful and close, even when we don’t perceive Him that way. Jesus promised, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” That’s a super promise, any way we look at it. Enjoy the Super Bowl if you watch, and the great golf. It’s a week of super things…watch for the Lord to be super in your life this week! Blessings, Tracy
