Readings: Jeremiah 17:7-8, Ephesians 3:14-21, Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
Did you watch the Olympics? Besides the impressive athletics, I enjoyed seeing the interviews with the athletes. I was praising God when so many people interviewed professed their thanks to God and gave Him the glory. Two U.S. Olympic divers, David Boudia and Steele Johnson, said their identity was rooted in Christ, no matter what happened when they were diving. They gave wonderful testimonies, as did many other athletes. Very few of us are Olympic athletes, but we all can have a powerful testimony when our identity is rooted in Christ. Maybe God is calling you to share your true identity in Christ this week. Our Jeremiah reading says, “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.” Blessings to all of you who trust in the Lord and place your confidence in Him!
