Readings: Jeremiah 31:7-9, Hebrews 7:23-28, Mark 10:46-52
“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25 This weekend we celebrate All Saint’s Day, and I’m personally thinking of my sweet grandmother as it was her birthday on Sunday. I love that the passage from Hebrews tells us that Jesus saves “completely.” When we get to heaven and join all the saints there, we will enter in complete. All we are, all we’ve been, all our hopes, experiences, loves, failures, sins, successes, every age and every stage of life bundled in Christ - we are fully redeemed. We will move into heaven whole, complete, healed, beautiful, free. Jesus, our ever-living and perfect high priest intercedes for us; our Redeemer prays for us; he is able to save to the uttermost, as the ESV says. Rejoice in the Living Hope and Loving Redeemer we have!
