Susan Brant – 1st Grade

Mrs. Brandt received her B.A. degree from Concordia University, Chicago.
She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Literacy from Concordia University, Nebraska. Mrs. Brandt has been teaching for the last 24 years from 2-Year olds through 8th grade. Mrs. Brandt doesn’t have much time for hobbies these days! However, when she does, she loves to jog, travel, snorkel, hike and spend time with her family.

Her favorite Bible passage is Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus.”

Bible Study: The first grade uses "Voyages" by CPH. The curriculum covers the Old Tesament from the beginning through the faithful leaders for God's people up to the time of Jesus birth. The New Testament portion of the curriculum covers the birth of Christ, His ministry and the beginning of the church. Throughout the year, the children are taught that God loves them, sent His Son to die on the cross for their sins and to know we have eternal life with Him.
