WHAT IS THE OUTREACH MINISTRY - HUMAN CARE

This is the mercy arm of the Lutheran Church. The ministry acts as the instrument through which faithful & compassionate believers in Jesus Christ extend the mercy of a loving God to others. We seek to alleviate human suffering & elevate the human condition.

HOW DOES THIS MINISTRY SERVE THE LORD?

Luke 6:36 "Be merciful, just as you Father is merciful."

2Cor 8:7...see that you excel also in this grace of giving."

1John 3:17 "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

Galations 6:10 ...let us do good to all people...

Every opportunity to serve others is an opportunity to witness and share Jesus with them.

WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?

1. Plan, coordinate & supervice social ministry events, suc as Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas Angel Project, easter baskets, clothing collection, etc.
2. Supervice Food Pantry & food distribution to the needy.
3. Supervice Disaster Response Coordinator & team.
   

HOW CAN VOLUNTEERS HELP?

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED…
This summer there are a number of projects around the campus that need to be completed and we are seeking your help.  We will have multiple classrooms and the fellowship hall needing to be painted as well as other summer upkeep.  If you have a passion to paint, trim bushes and trees, clean, etc., we can use your services.  This might be a great opportunity for High School students to get in volunteer hours.
