 ACADEMY OF THE ARTS

Shepherd of the Desert provides opportunities for all ages to train in the area of the arts in a stimulating Christian environment. Our highly qualified instructors are professional in their fields and are dedicated to helping students reach their aspirations.

Through activities such as recitals, community events, ministry groups, and worship services, budding artists are encouraged to excel in excellence as they share their talents.

Private and semi-private instruction is offered in a variety of performing arts areas:
Voice, Piano and Keyboard, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Sax, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, and Drums. We also have private classes for preschool ages in piano.

Costs for weekly lessons and instruction:

• Private instrumental: $25 per half hour
• $10 per semester (Fall, Spring & Summer) registration fee per family.

Shepherd of the Desert’s Academy of the Arts introduces new classes in Drama! Our instructor is Jill Ragee, a Screen Actors Guild member since 1997 who has been a working actress since hitting the streets of New York City in 1996. Jill
has been in numerous films and television shows as well as 7 national television commercials. She comes to The Academy of the Arts with a ton of experience and energy. Her specialty is on-camera acting classes where her students, ages 6- adult, can practice the ins and outs of the acting industry as she guides them through cold readings, creates monologues for each student, and prepares them
