“Circle of Light”

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

The Light of Jesus conquers the darkness. He is our awaited Savior. The five candles contrast darkness and light. They are lit in succession, one more each week as we wait for Christ’s birth and are also reminded of those who waited thousands of years for the Messiah.

God has a never-ending love for all people! The Advent wreath is large and circular in shape, a form with no beginning and no end. This reminds us of God’s never-ending, eternal love for us.
