Care and Support Ministries

Care Ministry

Our church members are assigned an area when they join, and the areas have a Care Minister. The Care Ministers are here to support their flocks with prayer and communication, in times of celebration and times of need. We have some open areas at the present time, so if you are interested in finding out more about Care Ministry, please contact Pastor Rosnau at arosnau@sotdaz.org.  If you have a need and your area does not have a Care Minister, please call the Church Office at 480-860-1188 ext.400 or Pastor Rosnau at 480-860-1188 ext.405 and we will connect you with a Care Minister right away.

Support Group Ministries

Cancer Support Group - Monthly Meetings on Sundays at 2:00pm at the Shea Campus.

Anyone touched by cancer is encouraged to join our caring Christ-centered group, “Our Healing Journey.” We meet once a month on Sundays at 2:00pm in the Church Conference Room on the Shea Campus.   

(Please note that the group will not meet in June, July and August for the summer, but will return to regular meeting time in September.)

Grief and Loss Support Group - Meetings on Sundays afternoons at 4:00pm at the Shea Campus.

This confidential drop-in group is for anyone who has suffered a loss through death, economic problems, fractured relationships or other major life changes.  The group meets at 4:00pm on the Shea Campus in the church conference room.  Please call the church office for additional information. Grief Support Sponsors are needed to provide one-on-one support to group members, as they desire, to help them through the grieving process.  If you have adjusted to a loss, have good interpersonal skills and would like to help others through the grieving process, please consider becoming a sponsor.

This group will take a break during the summer months. However, to keep a grief support connection in place during the summer, a meeting group is being formed on Saturday afternoons at the Shea Campus for those still wanting to meet.  Details will be coming soon.

    Please note: If you experience a hospitalization or a death in the family, please call the  church office at 480-860-1188.  Our care team will then be able to respond in a timely fashion. * If you call when the church office is closed (after-hours, weekends), please press 8 to reach the phone number of the staff person who is on call for emergencies. If you face a life-threatening emergency, first call 9-1-1 immediately!
