Feed My Starving Children
A little over eight months ago Shepherd of the Desert hosted an amazing event named “Feed My Starving Children.” The focus of this ministry was multifaceted. We strived to offer a service opportunity to our members and those in the community, combat the ongoing struggle of world hunger, create relationships and serve our Lord and His people.
Shepherd of the Desert will once again host a "Feed My Starving Children" remote event Feb. 2nd, 3rd and 4th of 2012 on our Shea Campus. Details will be forthcoming so please check back with us as the date gets closer.
Simply put, we were more than successful in all of our goals. We packaged over 200,000 meals and had almost 800 volunteers. Relationships were formed and a new mission had been sparked.
We would love to continue offering opportunities for our members and friends to gather together in hands on service both locally and globally in the name of Christ. We will keep you informed of upcoming dates and times scheduled at the Tempe site.
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”
